Life Is Short. Do Epic Sh*t.

September is my birthday month 🎉

And if there’s one thing I know by now, it’s this: life is short.
Too short to keep putting things off for “someday.”

My bucket list isn’t shrinking—it’s growing. There are too many places I want to see, too many experiences I want to have, and I’m not waiting until retirement or until my kids are grown to start checking them off.

Because let’s be honest—someday is a trap.

The Myth of “Someday”

How many times have you said:

  • “Maybe next year.”

  • “Once the kids are older.”

  • “When things calm down.”

Here’s the truth: life doesn’t calm down. The to-do list doesn’t shrink. The timing will never be perfect. And waiting for “someday” just keeps you stuck in the cycle.

The only time we’re promised is now.

What Epic Sh*t Really Means

When I say “epic,” I don’t mean you have to climb Everest or swim with sharks.

Epic means whatever makes you feel alive.
For one mom, it’s hiking Peru. For another, it’s four days in Santa Fe with spa mornings and wine-soaked laughter. For someone else, it might be finally seeing the Cliffs of Moher, or just having a weekend where no one yells “Mom!” every five seconds.

Epic = joy. Epic = freedom. Epic = remembering who you are outside of laundry, carpools, and endless responsibilities.

Why Moms Can’t Wait

Here’s the thing: our kids are growing up fast—but so are we.

Yes, they deserve a present, loving mom. But you deserve a present, fully-alive life. One doesn’t cancel the other.

Travel and adventure aren’t indulgent—they’re fuel. They’re how we reconnect with ourselves, with each other, and with the parts of us that get buried under the weight of “doing it all.”

Your Invitation

That’s why I started Momcations. To make the epic accessible, simple, and already-happening.

You don’t need to plan it all. You don’t need to figure out logistics. You just need to say yes.

The only question is—are you coming with us?

My Birthday Wish 🎂

Make it stand out

So here’s my wish for this year:
Don’t wait for the perfect time. Don’t keep saying “someday.”

Pick one epic thing. Put it on the calendar. Say yes.

Life is short. Let’s go do some epic sh*t.

PS: If you want to celebrate my birthday with me, the best gift you can give is to grab your spot on a Momcation. 😉

Groups are already forming, and I want to see you on the list.

Until next time, here’s to making time for yourself - you deserve it!
